The following candidates have been endorsed by a vote of the Sacramento County Young Democrats:

  • Maggy Krell - Assembly, District 6

  • Porsche Middleton - Assembly, District 7

  • Christopher Cabaldon - Senate, District 3

  • Hla Elkhatib - Folsom City Council, District 2

  • Joe Little - Rancho Cordova City Council, District 3

  • Roger Dickinson - Sacramento City Council, District 2

  • Emiliano Rosas - West Sacramento City Council, District 1

  • Jonathan Cook - Natomas School Board, Area 3

  • Rehana Rehman - Elk Grove Unified School District, Area 7

  • Jose Navarro - Sacramento City Unified School District, Area 3

  • Dr. Colette Harris Matthews - Los Rios Community College Trustee, Area 5

  • Rae Vander Werf - American River Flood Control District Board, Division 5

  • Eric Guerra - Sacramento City Council, District 6 (not on ballot)

  • Mai Vang - Sacramento City Council, District 8 (not on ballot)

  • Chinua Rhodes - Sacramento City Unified School District, Area 5 (not on ballot)

The following ballot measures have received a position by a vote of the Sacramento County Young Democrats:

  • California Proposition 2 ($10 billion in bonds for schools): Support

  • California Proposition 3 (constitutional right to same-sex and interracial marriage): Support

  • California Proposition 4 ($10 billion in bonds for water infrastructure, wildfire prevention, and climate resilience): Support

  • California Proposition 5 (lowers local bonds threshold for affordable housing and infrastructure from 2/3rds to 55%): Support

  • California Proposition 6 (ends involuntary servitude for incarcerated individuals): Support

  • California Proposition 32 (raises minimum wage to $18, adjusts for inflation): Support

  • California Proposition 33 (expands local authority for rent control): Oppose

  • California Proposition 34 (requires certain providers to spend federal discount prescription drug programs on direct patient care): Support

  • California Proposition 35 (provides permanent funding for Medi-Cal): Support

  • California Proposition 36 (enhances felony charges and increased sentencing for certain drug and theft crimes): Oppose

  • Sacramento City Measure E (library parcel tax renewal): Support
